The theme for our shawl was Pennsylvania Brook Trout.

Jack looks ready to begin the competition.

Jack does a great job ... not a scratch.

Constance is a four year old registered Shetland ewe.

Carding aligns the wool fibers to make spinning possible.

Francie has enough spun wool to begin weaving.

There are lots of interested folks in the galleries.

Judges maintain a constant vigile over the teams.

Molly concentrates on her spinning.

Joanna, Abby, and Francie all hard at work.

Our weaving comprised an eight harness twill pattern.

Go Joanna!

Go Francie!

The competition lasts for two and one half hours.

Francie beats her weft strands into place.

A consistant beat makes for uniformity of woven pattern.

The end is near; Francie finishes up with a hem stitch.

The team still has finish work to do.

The frindge needs to be perfect.

The finished product.

The judges to their thing. It's serious business.

Seven completed shawls. Ours is third down the line.

Ours is fifth in line from this direction.

It's over. They looked relieved.

The Dream Weavers (Molly, Joanna, Wayne, Jack, Francie, and Abby) took fifth place. Good for a green ribbon!
